Maritime English Center organizes complementary courses, raisening practical seamen's skills in using English as a trade language.
Courses organized by MEC are compatible with requirements of ammended convention STCW 78/95 (International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers), what means that programmes of courses are subject to periodical modifications conformed to changes of appropriate regulations.

Marine Officers’ Training Centre
The centre runs training courses for merchant and fishing fleets officers. The scope of training offered is as follows:
• qualification courses, preparing for exams at operational and management levels in deck and engine departments (watch officers, Master Mariner and Chief Engineer certificates),
• specialized courses, e.g. radio (GMDSS, VHF and related), radar equipment operator (e.g.ARPA), carriage of hazardous cargo HAZMAT and others,
updating courses covering new regulations, new technologies and equipment, such as ECDIS use, new elements of slow speed diesel engine diagnosis, new welding methods, etc.

Marine Rescue Training Centre
MRTC is one of the largest and best-equipped Polish TRAINING establishments of this type. Being a member of the International Association for Safety and Survival Training (IASST) and having an accreditation of the Maritime Office in Szczecin, the Centre offers courses satisfying the International STCW 78/95 Convention.

Located at 5 Komandorska St in Świnoujście, the centre offers specialized and qualification courses to seafarers for the same certificates as the rescue centre in Szczecin. The instruction takes place with the use of modern audio-visual and teaching aids, in dedicated rooms for practical exercises (such as a unique smoke chamber). Visitors to Swinoujscie can stay in the hotel part of the building in single, double or triple rooms and choose all meals option. Notably, the centre is situated in the beautiful seaside part of the town, only 350 metres from the sea shore and its wide sandy beach.
Postgraduate studies
Postgraduate studies are intended for graduates coming from various higher education institutions planning to upgrade their professional knowledge in order to enhance their competitiveness in the job market. The following courses are offered:
• Maritime administration, developed in co-operation with maritime administrations of European Union countries, providing specialized education to national administration personnel as well as those intending to start such work,
• Crisis management, extending participants abilities to prevent crisis situations in wheeled transport and procedures in crisis situations
• Industrial information technology
• Marine refrigeration.
